Pieces are thrown on the wheel, or hand built, to the initial shape. After some drying, the shape is refined through trimming the bottom and attachments such as handles are added. Surface decoration such a carving may be added at this point, and then the pieces are dried completely prior to their first firing. The first firing takes the pieces to approximately 1945 degrees Fahrenheit (Cone 04). They are cooled, cleaned and glaze design is added. They are then fired again to 2167-2232 degrees Fahrenheit (Cone 5 or 6). After cooling from the second firing, most pieces (depending on the product/design) are sanded on the bottom to make them smooth to the touch and prevent scratches on furniture.

Once shipped, you will receive a shipping & tracking notification. While we try to get products out quickly, if there are delays in shipping after the package has been dropped off to the carrier, it is beyond our control.

Pieces are packed with care to help prevent damage during shipping. Due to the nature of ceramics, things may break in shipping. If this occurs, please contact us with photos and description of the damage immediately upon shipment arrival so we can do our best to resolve the issue.

Food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe unless noted in description. Best care is hand-washing with non-abrasive substances.
